**Business Summary**


Join the Cloud Platform Business Unit (CPBU) at VMware to help craft the future of IT. Our team is looking for a rock star Data Analyst to manage telemetry data for VMware's core virtualization products, as well as data analytics for VMware Cloud on AWS.


As a Data Analyst in CPBU, you will draw key insights into our core business, and help influence the overall plans for our upcoming cloud service, VMware's software-defined datacenter solutions as-a-service on AWS Cloud.


**Job Role and Responsibility:**


+ You will develop analyses of market size and potential, and customer purchase and adoption behavior

+ You will also build models and dashboards to track key business metrics

+ This role will require you to drive quantitative analytics to solve complex business problems

+ You will synthesize data analyses into actionable insights for the business

+ Partnering with and develop positive relationships with multi-functional teams is critical to succeed.


**Required Skills:**


+ BA/BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent preferred

+ Do you have approx. 2+ years work experience in data analytics role or equivalent?

+ Comfortable working with large data sets

+ Expert Python and SQL experience, experience with R and Tableau or other dashboard-creation software


**Preferred Skills:**


+ Comfortable working independently while dealing with large data sets and mining them for useful insights

+ Experience working across a broad set of teams

+ Solid written and verbal communications skills
