**General Description**
Responsible for managing the overall go-to market schedules and activities for products in the United States. The materials include, but not limited to project schedules, brochures, packaging, promotional, and point-of-purchase advertising materials. Assist management to develop the overall collateral, advertising, and promotional strategy and related marketing materials and resources. Interface with product and sales teams to identify and provide marketing programs, materials and available resource options. Prepare budgets, track expenses, and oversee available inventory for collateral, graphic, and multi-media materials, product design, and development. Develop, select, and obtain approval for display graphics, materials, and promotional supplies. Develop, manage, and maintain relationship with outside agencies and creative collateral development vendors. Assess competitive initiatives and provide appropriate competitive responses including point of sale, display, and multi-media. Work with and develop relationships with 3rd party partners to enhance the ecosystem for Samsung devices. Works with Samsung teams (Project Management, Product Planning, etc) to create, update and drive product launch schedules for all new products assigned. Maintains tracking sheet showing schedule for all deliverables, shares with team. Prepares recommendations to leadership for the development of the overall collateral, packaging, and multi-media promotional materials strategy, plans, resources, and inventory. Communicates plans, products, and availability of resources to individual sales manager and Sales Director. Coordinates collateral and packing requirements, approval, and production according to identified needs of product marketing division personnel. Develops and maintains relationships with 3rd party partners to enhance the ecosystem for Samsung Devices. Works with Product Management/marketing to establish positioning and key selling points for products. Responsible for communicating the product positioning throughout the team and assisting the sales organization in developing customer presentations. Prepares for the launch of iconic accessories. Prepares recommendations to management to identify and obtain approval for and manages relationships with collateral developers, printers, and promotional product vendors to identify best cost solutions in accordance with the company's marketing plans and promotional programs. Manages vendors to ensure availability and effective production of materials from among available resources and within approved budgets and expenditure levels. Prepares budgets, tracks expenses, obtains approvals, and explains variances of collateral, packaging graphics, and promotional materials costs. Prepares presentations of strategic plans, budgets, and reports for local management. Compiles data and prepares reports of collateral material expenditures and effectiveness. Identifies the value of collateral materials, packing graphics, and point-of-sale promotional expenses in creating a positive Samsung product identity and increased sales results. Manages collateral design and materials development project teams to achieve desired results, schedules, and plans. Initiates committees from among assigned division staff members to identify and agree upon expectations. Schedules and conducts meetings to plan, report results against plan, identify issues, and initiate corrective actions required to ensure most effective use of collateral materials to promote the company's identity and products. Research market environment, including retail positioning of product and market trends including product positioning, key features, and benefits of products. Research competitive environment and competitive pricing in the market. As assigned by the Director, performs special promotional, multi-media, and advertising materials projects, and provides production supervision. Bachelor's Degree with 10-14 years of directly related experience is required. Prior wireless terminals product marketing with 5-7 years CDMA product management experience. Must be able to write, read, analyze, and interpret wireless terminals technical product and marketing materials. Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of Windows presentation software in an NT LAN/WAN network environment. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the SEA organization and within customer organizations. The ability to convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, VP's, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical, and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous performance projects. The ability to write, read, interpret, and act on proper understanding of technical documents, engineering materials, or related documents based on corporate legal and customer applications, business standards, and philosophy. Ability to make professional sales and product marketing presentations and to communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally, product technical matters to an audience of high technical skills and operational experience. The demonstrated ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions.
