Job Description**

Essential Functions

Builds consensus among critical stakeholders within SHC

Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses that contribute to the development of strategic insights into new market opportunities - Scope can include the identification of new service and product opportunities, market sizing, financial and economic modeling, mergers and acquisitions, investment planning, and scenario analysis

Creates action-oriented insights and recommendations in communicative and impactful documents for executives to use

Executes strategy-development work streams that cut across multiple SHC key business units, to deliver key business impact on high priority issues as SHC plans for the future.

Maintains and disseminates up-to-date knowledge of healthcare trends

Produces analyses of current market forces in the SHC market, including competitive, economic, and financial analyses

Provides project leadership for multi-dimensional, matrix-oriented teams through all phases of the strategic planning cycle.

Supports SHC executive leaders in the development of strategy planning and analysis

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as

well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, healthcare administration, public health,

or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting

experience in a complex healthcare organization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to business leaders and cross-functional teams

Ability to conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, draw insight from findings, and formulate recommendations

Ability to motivate and lead complex cross-functional work streams in a team setting and manage multiple


Ability to provide leadership and influence others

Advanced user of MS PowerPoint and MS Word

Command of analytical tools, including MS Excel (MS Access is a plus)

Familiarity with healthcare data types, including patient data, demographic data, healthcare financial data and others

Knowledge of the health care industry

Knowledge of the strategic planning needs of an academic medical center
