**What You'll Do**

Cisco seeks a Technical Leader to define, design and build a flexible, scalable Big Data framework for your data center network with Cisco Nexus Switches. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of the technologies and work on cutting edge products.

This team works with Play! Framework, Java 8, Redis cache, Relational DB, Kafka, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Flink

In this Role You will lead and contribute in following areas.

Scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.

Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.

Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan and execute large-scale, cross functional and company-wise critical programs.

As a Tech Lead, you will be an agile architect in the design, development, and support of the most visible Internet-scale features and infrastructures at Cisco. The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and a strong background in building dynamic, highly-available, highly-scalable applications as well as operating within a startup-mode environment.

**Who You'll Work With**

In this position you will be working on Big Data framework and programmability of network elements while using cutting edge technologies giving ample scope for learning.You will work with product management and our UX design team on functional specifications and management interfaces. You will work with QA on test plans, and on defect fixing. You will work with product support to interface with customers using your product. You will work collaboratively with other members of your team to deliver every day and continue to develop and enhance your expertise as a Technical Leader.

**Who You Are**

MSCE/CE or BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 7+ years of related practical experience.

7+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.

7+ years experience programming experience in Java, Javascript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, and/or Ruby, Go is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**

BS + 8 years of relevant work experience or MS + 7 years of relevant work experience or PhD + 4 years of relevant experience

Experience in designing and building infrastructure/distributed systems and web services at large scale.

Strong object oriented skills.

Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Experience with object oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++, C#, Go etc.).

Proven coding skills with a scripting language like Python, and knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming.

Experience building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, junit, etc.

Experience with relational databases (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and distributed transaction management.
