Technical Project Manager
**General Description**
Samsung's Digital Media Solutions (DMS) Lab is looking for a Technical Project Manager in its Media Industry Relationship team in Irvine, California. This new role would support ongoing media relations work in display products throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. This team advances Samsung's products, technologies and solutions by close collaboration with media companies, such as Hollywood movie studios, satellite/cable MVPDs, and disruptive media and entertainment distributors and content producers. It will work with other R&D; teams in Irvine, CA and Samsung's HQ in Suwon, Korea to bring new, innovative technical solutions and new business opportunities together. **Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Responsibilities ? Collect and analyze requirements from our media partners regarding picture quality and image/audio signal processing for their new businesses. ? Manage project deliverables to the post production community, internet streaming distributors and MVPDs across varied display, video and picture quality initiatives. ? Participate in industry consortiums and standardization activities related to Samsung's TV/Display products. Requirements ? More than 3 years of experience in media industry related fields ? Excellent communication and socialization skills ? Experience editing, drafting and participating product requirements or standards. ? Adept and comfortable working with constantly changing fast moving business dynamics and rapid schedules. Plus ? Fluent in Korean and past experience with Korean company operations. ? Familiar with content production technologies, practices and workflows. ? Related experience in media industry whether post production, standardization work and product development. ? Familiar with video/image processing, coding, color spaces and other technical aspects of image quality.
